Bonding with Our Little Bean - 5 months

No one tells you that having a kid isn't love at first sight, or first week, or first month. There is a bonding period that needs to happen, like any other human relationship whether it be dating or friendship. That being said, we find ourselves falling in love with our little bean more and more each day!

Rachel's 4th month of life has been very full of activity. She is doing something new every week, especially her babbles and squeals. She finally figured out how to roll from her tummy to her back, which is great! But it also means the beginning of weaning her from her swaddle. This is just the first of many other weaning a that will need to happen (pacifier, nursing).

Rachel is just a smiley and content chubster. We love to find new ways to make her laugh, which is pretty easy. High pitch noises and big facial expressions do the trick. For some reason, she loves it and giggles when we zip up or button her PJ's. She also is such a chatty Kathy while and after nursing.

When she was first born, we didn't know what we were getting ourselves into. Now we can't believe we get to keep her! Grateful to The Lord for entrusting us with this child!

Rachel got baptized at church. It was a significant event in her life that you can read more about  here

We had some visitors in January!

Uncle Andrew, Auntie Flora, and Auntie Eva visited us the weekend of Chinese New Year!

Rachel was very excited to receive her first red envelopes!

Thanks for visiting, Auntie Karen and Uncle Theo!

A rare mommy daughter picture. Auntie Steffy thinks that mommy looks like Rachel's teenage babysitter
