Rachel's Infant Baptism - January 19, 2014

This Sunday, Rachel was baptized at Pacific Crossroads Church. It symbolizes the beginning of Rachel's journey with the Lord, and God's unwavering commitment to Rachel. Just like an engagement ring signifies a fiance's commitment to his future bride, her baptism represents God's promise "I will be your God, and you will be my people" (Exodus 6:7). We hope and pray that when she gets older, she can place her hope and trust in Jesus and personally develop a relationship with the Lord.

She was perfectly calm when the water was sprinkled on her head 3 times - in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

Marshall presented her to the community - Lion King Style

She has no clue what's going on :)

Then the entire congregation sang "Great is Thy Faithfulness" to Rachel

Justin's Vision Fund co-workers came out to support us

Little Rachel - 4 months old

Squishy feet :)
Grace, Peter, Abby, and Emily came to show their support!

Grace, Alex, and Grayson also made the trek from Pasadena to support us

Rachel - 4 month update

Since the last update, the biggest milestone is that Rachel rolled over from her back to her tummy two weeks ago!

She is still very smiley, talks to herself before going to sleep, and has started squealing!

We aren't sure if she is purposely grasping at her toys or if it is just a reflex, but she is on the verge.

She brings so much joy to us. When we go get her in the morning, her face brightens up with a huge smile and she starts kicking her legs really vigorously. Her sweet demeanor can only come from The Lord! God knows Justin and I are not that pleasant ourselves in the morning...

Here are some pics since we returned back to Pasadena:

Her 4 month pic. Thanks aunt Edna for the onesies for each month!

We went to the rose parade, which is up the street from where we live

It was a cool experience to check off our LA bucket list

Rini and Albert were so thoughtful to make time for us during their stay in LA!

We squeezed her into this dress one last time (couldn't button the back)

Having fun playing dress up with an outfit from PoPo and shoes from auntie Sarah

She tolerates sitting in the bumbo. But she loves her Pj's from aunt tina and uncle Daniel

Rachel playing with her friend. Sometimes it gets lively!

Other times it's pretty chill

Daddy and Rachel are inseparable after he gets home from work

Rachel has a lot of school spirit: hook 'Em! Thanks auntie tri, auntie denini, and auntie Julie!

Meanwhile, I am transitioning my responsibilities at work, so Justin has been watching Rachel on the weekend and on some weeknights. Very thankful how that worked out. Justin is such a hands-on dad and such a wonderful father to our little bean.

Rachel is getting baptized this Sunday - pictures to come in the next update!
